Like real women, TPE and silicone sex dolls use the same ordinary makeup products. You can choose from high-end or drugstore brands, and while there are makeup kits online, you’ll likely find that most of the products don’t get used. To save you time and money, let’s break down the essentials you’ll need to keep your love doll looking her best!
Makeup Brushes
These can be real hair or synthetic. You’ll want at least one or two smaller brushes for fine details, a larger brush for applying blush, and a powder puff. The fine brushes are best for eyes and lips.
Eyeshadow and Blush
Formulation wise, blush and eyeshadow are nearly identical – both are just pigmented powders. The pigment saturation will vary, but generally speaking, eyeshadow tends to be more vivid, while blush is more muted. You can get both, or use the same product interchangeably. Many makeup artists recommend adding whatever blush you’re using to the eyes, as this helps maintain a cohesive look.
Lip Products
For this step, you have a few options. One would be to again use your eyeshadow or blush, and using a fine brush, applying this to the lips starting on the center and working out. You can also use lipstick, lip gloss, or lip balm. However, because these are oil based, they can slip and slide a bit – this can be fixed by simply applying a thin layer of powder over it to lock it in place.
Eyebrows
The goal with eyebrows is to mimic hair-like strokes, but there are a number of ways you can get there. One would be to use an eyebrow pen, and simply apply the brows one stroke at a time. Eyebrow pencils can also be used, but it’s best to use one that isn’t too hard or sharp, as you don’t want to accidentally poke into the skin. Eyeshadow can also be used with a liner brush to fill in the brows. If you have issues keeping them looking symmetrical, you can buy eyebrow stencils to keep everything neat and tidy.
Setting Powder
For this step, you can use makeup setting powder or talcum powder. If your doll is a lighter skin tone, talcum powder is plenty sufficient, and you should already have this around for your doll. However, for more darker-skinned dolls, this can create a white cast over the face. For these dolls, it may be better to use a skin-color powder, which can be found at most drugstores.
Makeup Remover
We’d recommend using a doll-specific cleanser, as not all makeup removers on the market will be safe for dolls. If you accidentally slip up, simply take a cotton swab dipped in cleanser and tidy up any mistakes. You can also use this to remove the full face of makeup if you decide you’re ready for a new look.
